Welcome to FishTank – An Exciting STEM+ Challenge!

FishTank is our Sustainability Design Challenge, a program for Hawaiʻi Island youth inspired by the popular TV show “Shark Tank.” It’s a yearly competition for students in grades 5-8, who get to dive into real-world problem-solving by designing cool, creative solutions to some of our island’s biggest challenges!

In the past, our teams have tackled important issues like reducing plastic waste and building resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, we invite YOU to join and show off your innovation skills! Teams will compete for awesome scholarships and opportunities to bring their ideas to life. Are you ready to make a difference and have some fun?

Our FishTank Design Competition was featured in the Hawai’i Community Foundation 2021 tribute to organizations that are helping to transform Hawai’i Island.
