Professional Engineers Day 2026
Meet local engineers. Explore your future.
Thirty Hawaiʻi Island high schoolers will spend two hours with local engineers this summer. NexTech Hawaiʻi invites your student to our Professional Engineers Day event on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. The event marks our celebration of National Professional Engineers Day.
Engineers from across the profession will share how they chose their careers and what their work looks like day to day. Students will have an opportunity to talk story with professionals in civil, electrical, mechanical, computer science, and space sciences engineering. Every student gets the chance to ask questions, compare paths, and picture a future in a field they may not have considered yet.
The event is free and lunch is included. Space is limited to 30 students. Slots filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
