Amelia Earhart Girls in Engineering Day 

The 8th Annual Amelia Earhart Girls in Engineering Day will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Waiakea High School in Hilo. This event is open to girls from Hawai‘i Island in grades 4-8. Space is limited and is open to the first 50 girls who register.

What: A day of STEM learning for Hawai‘i Island girls (grades 4-8). This year’s theme is flight - participants will have hands-on activities to learn about airplanes and drones. They will also have the opportunity to hear from women professionals in the STEM fields.

When: January 27, 2024, from 8 AM - 3 PM HST

Where: Waiakea High School, 155 W. Kawili St, Hilo

The Zonta Club of Hilo hosts this free annual event. The County of Hawai‘i is providing funding support. NexTech Advisors Dale Olive and Eric Hagiwara are organizers of Amelia Earhart Girls in Engineering Day.
